Selection Criteria
Here are a few things you need to look at to determine if a water heating system is right for your commercial facility:- Energy efficiency: The cost of running a water heater is directly linked to how energy efficient it is. If it dissipates too much energy, you’ll automatically see a hike in your energy bills. Water heaters have really high energy footprints, but high-efficiency models have better insulation, efficient burners, and extra heat traps.
- Fuel type: The operational cost and energy-efficiency of your heater can be attributed in large part to the type of fuel that is combusted. Electric heat pump water heaters, for instance, are more energy efficient compared to conventional electric storage water heaters. This is because they extract heat from the atmosphere, instead of using electricity.
- Size: The size of your operation reflects your water demand, which should be in line with the capacity of the heater. Your commercial water heater provider should be able to advise you about how capacities work and which one will be able to meet the need of your commercial facility.
